The balanced differential dual-mono design (now bridgeable by switch) features ‘Class A' power output (to five Watts) and will partner virtually any loudspeakers. Additionally, the 860A v2 has new and improved circuit design at both input and gain stages, new internal bias control and a new integrated defeatable DC coupling filter.

Simaudio tells us:
Our Lynx technology eliminates feedback and transient intermodulation distortion to produce a more accurate musical reproduction. High damping ensures superior musical dynamics, improved signal speed and refined timbre accuracy. To ensure continuous perfect performance, the self-diagnostic system detects both over-heating and the presence of DC in the input signal.
The Canadians are so happy with the 860A v2 that it entirely replaces three previous Simaudio products: the 860A, 870A and 880M. They claim that it outperforms both the 860A and the 870A, and a mono bridged pair of 860A v2s exceeds the sound quality of the industry-respected 880M. We thought that Canadians were a humble bunch.

Available in the usual MOON finishes of black, silver or two-tone black and silver. The V2 is priced at €19.500 / £16,750 and will be on the shelves Q2/2019
We are really looking forward to hearing it ourselves in Atrium 4, Room E-126 at the Munich show.
See MOON for more details.
