The Classic Legend MkII is the next generation of one of Siltech’s most successful and widely appreciated cable families, which has played an important role in the Siltech Cables portfolio.
The Legend series has brought key Siltech technologies into a more accessible range while maintaining the audio refinement, build quality, and engineering discipline expected from the brand.
With Classic Legend MkII, Siltech says it has taken this established series forward with meaningful upgrades inside the cable.
The new MkII range introduces carbon shielding and “advanced air-filled construction” within the insulation and cable geometry. These developments are designed to improve signal protection and create a quieter, more stable foundation for music reproduction.
Siltech’s G9 silver-gold conductor technology remains at the heart of the range. Here, gold is added to silver wire to fill microcracks and, says Siltech, results in dramatically lower distortion.
The new generation also introduces an important addition to the family: Classic Legend MkII 280. The 280 becomes the new entry point into Siltech silver-gold performance, replacing the former Explorer series. While Explorer used monocrystal copper conductors, Classic Legend MkII 280 moves to Siltech’s signature silver-gold conductor platform. This gives music enthusiasts a more direct and authentic way to experience Siltech technology.
The Classic Legend MkII range, therefore, includes four model levels, with the Classic Legend MkII 280 serving as the gateway and Classic Legend MkII 380 pitched as a versatile and balanced model range for high-end systems, now upgraded with MKII shielding and construction improvements, while the Classic Legend MkII 680, according to Siltech, offers a higher-performance level with greater scale, control, and refinement for more demanding systems.
Classic Legend MkII 880 is the flagship of the Classic Legend MkII family and the most complete expression of the range before moving into Siltech’s Crown and Master Crown series, so says the brand.
All current Classic Legend models will transition to the new Classic Legend MkII range. The change is based on the technical upgrades introduced in the new generation, especially the move to carbon shielding and the new air-filled construction approach.
The new Classic Legend MkII series will also be showcased at High End Vienna 2026 at the Austria Centre Vienna, Level 2, Room 2.15, where visitors can experience the new cables in person.
