Ready to Rock: Audio Pro Drumfire W Edition Wireless Speakers

Audio Pro’s upgraded ‘W’ editions of its Drumfire series wireless speakers include the full-size Drumfire II W and the smaller Drumfire D-2 W. Stacked, they look like a guitar amp and cab combo, giving any room rock credibility.

The latest W-generation offerings from Audio Pro promise a “giant step forward in control and connectivity,” while a major app update supports “an entirely new level of functionality, performance and reliability,” says the Swedish speaker brand.

The Drumfire II W is the ‘full Monty’ comprising the Drumfire D-2 W ‘head unit’ along with a separate D-Sub subwoofer cabinet boasting 200 watts of Class D amplification powering twin textile-dome tweeters working alongside a pair of 13.7cm woofers.

In this configuration, the crossover at 2500Hz is automatically adjusted to let the subwoofer handle the deepest bass, enabling you to play even louder.

Wireless connectivity is extensive, with the Drumfire II W offering Audio Pro multi-room listening alongside Bluetooth 4.2, Google Cast, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect, while physical connections include RCA inputs and a subwoofer output.

If that’s too rock ‘n’ roll for you, the D-2 W can be used as a standalone speaker with 100 watts of Class D amplification powering twin textile-dome tweeters alongside dual 11cm woofers, combining to deliver what Audio Pro describes as “pure hi-fi acoustics with deep, controlled bass and crispy highs”.

The Drumfire D-2 W and full Drumfire II W combo with the D-Sub come wrapped in faux leather, with handstitched threads and details in solid aluminium.

The Drumfire D-2 W is available now for £350 | €400 | US$400, while the Drumfire II W is priced at £600 | €700 | US$700. Both come in a choice of white, grey, or black finishes.
