Qobuz hopes to make music discovery even better with the redesign of the Home, Editor's Picks, and For You elements, offering human-curated suggestions enhanced by personalised recommendations to everyone's taste.

The French-based high-resolution streaming and download platform has enhanced its music discovery experience with a new Discover page, built around three complementary spaces that enable you to choose your discovery style according to your preferences.

The redesigned homepage pulls in the best from Qobuz's Our Picks and For You - a selection of editorial offerings (New Releases, Playlists, Our Awards, Ideal Discography, Qobuzissime, Album of the Week) - augmented with personalised features such as Recent Activity, Your Releases to Watch, Your Mixes, and similar recommendations.

Meanwhile, the Editor's Picks space is totally guided by the Qobuz team of music experts to keep you current with the latest and greatest must-listen releases, from iconic groups to emerging talents, across all genres. This curated selection also provides access to playlists showcasing labels and artists of the moment and the latest award-winning releases from top media publications. We are told that this has nothing to do with algorithms.

The For You area is powered by the service's recommendation engine and enriched by its music teams to ensure the experience is aligned with your personal musical taste, from Your Mixes and Radio Stations to Release Watch, Recently Played, suggestions based on similar artists, and your music library.

However, the spotlight of this update is Release Watch. This new feature focuses on recent releases from artists, labels, and awards, followed by you. Qobuz states this is "updated in real-time" and always visible on the homepage, offering personalised and comprehensive tracking so you never miss a new release.

Axel Destagnol, Product Director at Qobuz, told StereoNET:

The new Discover journey embodies our vision of musical discovery... This balance enables a complete experience that doesn't trap the listener in redundant algorithmic recommendations. This hybrid approach is one of Qobuz's great key strengths.

The new Discover layout is now available on the Qobuz app for iOS and Android, across both mobile and tablet devices. Qobuz will continue to roll out Discover across its growing ecosystem.
