PSI Audio AVAA C214 Active Bass Traps Offered in UK via Harmony Hifi

PSI Audio's "revolutionary" AVAA C214 active bass trap is now available in the UK via Harmony Hifi's retail partners.
Originally developed for professional recording studios, the AVAA C214 from PSI Audio represents a breakthrough in active low-frequency control.

The company states it offers audiophiles a high-performance, unobtrusive solution to tame room acoustics without compromising aesthetics or requiring bulky traditional treatments.

PSI Audio's renowned Swiss engineering and cutting-edge acoustic technology are designed to enable music fans to hear their system's true potential through more precise and accurate bass reproduction.

Additionally, this 'plug-and-play' solution is easy to install and doesn't require microphones, software or calibration. Instead, the result is an elegant, compact design that integrates seamlessly into any living space and is entirely scalable.

We are told that the AVAA C214 "eliminates excess bass resonances from 15 Hz to 160 Hz with unmatched efficiency." The company also highlights that it is fully digital with ultra-low latency (less than 0.2 ms) processing via two independent DSPs and is not a phase cancellation device.

Roger Taslaq of Harmony Hifi Distribution told StereoNET:
The AVAA C214 transforms the listening experience by allowing the full potential of high-end systems to shine. We are excited to bring this cutting-edge technology to audiophiles who are serious about sound but don't want to compromise their living space with traditional acoustic treatment.
For added user-friendliness, PSI Audio's app (available for Apple and Android) allows you to easily activate or deactivate each AVAA C214 or AVAA C214 group, as well as adapt its area of effectiveness to suit its environment.

The PSI AVAA C214 is now available, priced at £2,995 (inc. VAT) per unit. Pricing in other territories is yet to be confirmed.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
