Acoustic treatment specialist, GIK Acoustics, has expanded its selection of bass traps. The three new models include the Classic Bass Trap Panel 60Hz, Amplitude Bass Trap Panel 60Hz, and FlexRange Bass Trap Panel 50Hz.

These deep panels target uncontrolled bass, promising better low-frequency absorption in any space.

Low frequencies build up on walls, create standing waves, and muddy everything from a studio mix to a home cinema experience. GIK highlights that most acoustic panels on the market simply aren’t thick enough to address bass below 100Hz.

GIK Acoustics has therefore extended its range of bass trap panels to include 20cm (8-inch) / 22cm (9.5-inch) options that should effectively absorb down to 60Hz and below. The company proudly states this is “a first for any major acoustic treatment brand offering these as standard, off-the-shelf products.”

Not only does this give GIK Acoustics bragging rights, but it also gives customers more effective control over bass build-up, standing waves and low-end smear, issues that can compromise clarity, balance and accuracy in any room.

New GIK Bass Traps

The Classic Bass Trap Panel 60Hz is a straightforward broadband bass absorber built around a 20cm (8-inch) mineral wool core. As the name suggests, it offers absorption down to around 60Hz and up to 25% greater low-frequency performance than GIK’s own 15cm models.

Meanwhile, the Amplitude Bass Trap Panel 60Hz brings the same deeper performance to GIK’s design-led hybrid range. Here you get a combination of absorption, scattering and diffusion extending down to, you guessed it, around 60Hz.

The FlexRange 50Hz uses GIK’s two-frame design, absorbs to 50Hz, features an air gap, and is configurable for different modes, offering up to 30% better absorption than 17cm models.

All three models have been independently tested at the University of Salford to BS EN ISO 354:2003 standards.

These are guaranteed to fit your room, whether domestic or professional, thanks to GIK Acoustics offering more than 20 Camira Cara fabric options across the range, alongside multiple sizes and options for ultimate customisation.

Available to order now, the Classic Bass Trap Panel 60Hz costs from US$79 | £79 | €87, the Amplitude Bass Trap Panel 60Hz is priced from US$129 | £159 | €176, and the FlexRange Bass Trap Panel 50Hz sells from US$99 | £99 | €110.

The new Bass Trap Panels will be on display at AXPONA 2026, where visitors can see the latest additions to the GIK Acoustics range for themselves.
