Netvio Partners with Kordz to Deliver 48Gbps HDMI 2.1b for High-End AV

Netvio’s NV-SP-H2-0208-10 2x8 HDMI 2.1b splitter has arrived in Australia via Kordz, supporting a 48Gbps bandwidth, 8K video, downscaling, and advanced integration features.
Netvio has announced Australian availability of its NV-SP-H2-0208-10, a 2x8 HDMI 2.1b splitter designed for high-bandwidth AV distribution across commercial and high-end residential installations. The product is now in stock through local distributor Kordz Australia.

Engineered around full-fat HDMI 2.1b support at 48Gbps, the splitter is built to accommodate next-generation video formats, including 8K at up to 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz. According to Netvio, supported formats include 8K/60Hz (4: 2:0, 12-bit), 8K/30Hz (4:4:4, 12-bit), and 4K/120Hz (4:4:4, 12-bit), as well as HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG. Gaming-specific features such as ALLM and VRR are also supported, positioning the unit for both professional AV and enthusiast gaming environments.

The NV-SP-H2-0208-10 features two HDMI inputs feeding eight HDMI outputs, with each output capable of independently downscaling 8K sources to 4K or 1080p. This approach is aimed at mixed-display systems, where legacy and next-generation screens may need to coexist. The splitter also supports HDR-to-SDR conversion for compatibility with older displays.
Josh Yammouni, Product Manager at Kordz Australia, said the unit stretches beyond the traditional expectations of a splitter:
The Netvio 2x8 HDMI Splitter goes beyond what is expected from an HDMI splitter and acts more similarly to an HDMI switcher and splitter combination,” he told StereoNET. “It’s built for ultra-high-definition AV distribution in high-end environments where full HDMI 2.1b, 48Gbps compatibility for 8K or 4K/120 content is required.

Beyond video distribution, the splitter incorporates optical S/PDIF and balanced and unbalanced analogue audio outputs with gain control, allowing direct connection to amplifiers or external processors without relying solely on HDMI audio paths. Integration-focused features such as EDID management, auto or manual input switching, and a built-in HDMI signal generator are designed to simplify commissioning and fault-finding during installation.
Control options are comprehensive, supporting front-panel operation, IR remote control, RS-232, USB-C service connection, and API commands. This flexibility enables the splitter to operate as a standalone device or be fully integrated into larger control ecosystems commonly used in commercial and custom installation projects.

Netvio’s NV-SP-H2-0208-10 2x8 48Gbps HDMI 2.1b splitter is available now priced A$1095.99 (inc GST).

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s.
