McIntosh has launched a next-generation all-in-one wireless speaker system, designed and built for the streaming age.

The RS200 makes wireless music streaming in the highest possible quality fuss-free. Its wide-ranging technologies include Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth 5.0. The speaker also has Amazon Works With Alexa certification, although you will need a third-party Alexa control device.
Highly flexible, the RS200 has streaming support for AAC, Qualcomm aptX HD for hi-res playback and Qualcomm aptX Low Latency (for improved audio transmission speed to deliver sound in sync with visual media) and DNLA support. It also offers Play-Fi from DTS, which has built-in interfaces for Amazon Prime Music, Pandora, Qobuz, SiriusXM, Spotify, TIDAL and more.

The potent RS200 offers 650 watts delivered to eight speakers (drivers) split between two bass drivers, four midrange units and two tweeters. Additionally, a subwoofer output is included to connect an optional powered subwoofer. Thanks to the three-position EQ switch, the RS200 will integrate into any room and match your listening preferences.

The RS200 can also improve the sound quality from your TV as it benefits from an audio-only HDMI input for TVs with ARC (Audio Return Channel) capabilities. Furthermore, there is an optical input to connect TVs without ARC. For enveloping home theatre audio, McIntosh's Play-Fi-compatible RS100 Wireless Speakers (sold separately) can be added as surround channels.

Naturally, the RS200 features classic McIntosh design elements such as a black glass front panel, illuminated logo, control knobs and a pair of fast-responding blue Wattmeters.

The McIntosh RS200 costs £3,495 and is available to order now for delivery in March/April (UK); February (US)
