Swedish loudspeaker specialist Marten has appointed Advance Audio Australia as its exclusive Australian distributor, marking a significant shift in the brand’s local representation.

After more than fifteen years under the stewardship of Absolute Hi End, Marten now joins Advance Audio’s portfolio of high-performance audio brands. The changeover takes effect from June 1st, 2025, with the first shipment expected to arrive in August.

Nigel Ng, Managing Director of Advance Audio Australia, told StereoNET:

We are honoured to be entrusted with the Marten brand following its long-standing stewardship by Absolute Hi End. Marten fits perfectly into our stable of high-end audio partners, and we look forward to introducing more Australian music lovers to their exceptional craftsmanship and performance.

Founded in 1998 by Leif Olofsson, Marten is widely respected for its elegant Scandinavian design, wood-accented finishes, and cutting-edge materials science. Now led by Leif’s brothers, Jörgen Olofsson (CEO) and Lars Olofsson (Art Director), the family-run company is preparing to move into a new world-class factory in Gothenburg, Sweden—signalling a bold new era for the brand.

Marten enjoyed a strong presence at this year’s High End Munich 2025, with its loudspeakers chosen by several brands for critical listening demonstrations. Among them, Innuos selected the Coltrane Quintet to debut its new Nazaré platform, pairing the speakers with Gryphon and MSB electronics for a compelling showcase.

But it was Marten’s own room that drew large crowds, thanks to the world premiere of the Coltrane Quintet Extreme—a €360,000 evolution of the original Quintet, derived from the brand’s new €950,000 Coltrane Supreme Extreme flagship. Finished in striking green piano lacquer and oak, the Quintet Extreme is limited to just ten pairs worldwide and blends Marten’s minimalist aesthetic with bespoke acoustic engineering.

Advance Audio says Marten will be a natural fit within its ecosystem of premium audio brands, and looks forward to unveiling the range to dealers and customers in the coming months.
