Magico S2 Ready for World Premiere at Munich High End 2025

Magico's S2 loudspeakers may have quietly made their debut last December, but all eyes will be on them once again as they take centre stage for their official world premiere at High End Munich 2025.
The new S2 is being showcased for demonstration in Atrium 4, 1st floor, Room F-115 (4.1 / F-115) at High End Munich 2025 and marks the entry point to the California-based brand’s acclaimed S Series. While details of the three-way floorstander were first revealed in StereoNET’s coverage by Jay Garrett, Munich offers the first chance for many to hear them in the flesh—and we’ll be there to do just that.

Magico says the S2 is designed to defy expectations regarding scale and sonic authority. At just over 60kg apiece, the speakers may be compact by Magico standards, but they incorporate the same no-compromise design DNA as their larger siblings. That includes a cabinet milled from the company’s largest single-piece aluminium extrusion, and a full-length vertical brace that reportedly yields exceptional rigidity with minimal diffraction.
Internally, the S2 benefits from the eighth-generation Nano-Tec cone material in both the midrange and newly developed 7-inch woofers. These are paired with a diamond-coated beryllium tweeter based on the M9 flagship design, promising an extended, detailed top end reaching up to 50kHz. Crossover duties are handled by the latest iteration of Magico’s Elliptical Symmetry Crossover (ESXO), using premium Mundorf components for maximum linearity and phase coherence.

We’re told the speaker’s performance isn’t just about measurement precision but also real-world impact—with a claimed maximum SPL of 109dB at 55Hz from a 7” woofer, Magico is confident the S2 delivers bass that belies its footprint. Available in a selection of gloss and Softec finishes, the S2 also features a custom three-footer support system for optimal decoupling and vibration control.
With the S2 set to make its public debut at Munich, Magico fans and industry watchers alike can finally judge how this new model stacks up to its acclaimed S Series siblings. If it lives up to the spec sheet—and Magico’s reputation—this might be one of the most talked-about speakers of the show.

StereoNET will be reporting from High End Munich 2025, so stay tuned for hands-on impressions and show highlights.
