The new T3X Network Player takes the Applause Award-winning T3 streaming DAC platform and incorporates more elements from Lumin's flagship line.

This sees Lumin's T3X featuring a large built-in ultra-low-noise linear power supply with an "extra-large" power transformer said to be capable of high dynamic range. Naturally, this power supply is fully shielded to reduce interactivity with sensitive circuit componentry. The T3X also benefits from Lumin's latest processing system, which we're told provides improved sampling capabilities, higher storage capacity, and extra processing power.

The T3X's fully balanced design also receives a boost by way of a new digital-to-analogue converter chipset based around the ESS Technology's "state-of-the-art" ESS9028PRO in dual-mono configuration.

The new Lumin network player sports a S/PDIF output via BNC and an optical SFP socket (1000Base-T gigabit), which can be used simultaneously with the ethernet port thanks to its Dual-Network interface with built-in Network Switch. This allows you to connect one to a router and one to a NAS drive or LUMIN L1/L2, of course. There is also a pair of USB ports for audio and storage.

Stating "upsampling and downsampling to every supported format up to DSD256/PCM384", the T3X can play back PCM 44.1 kHz to 384 kHz at 16 and 32-bit rates and native DSD512 via USB. The BNC socket supports PCM at 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz from 16 to 24-bit resolution, while DSD compatibility is via DoP.

There's wide streaming service compatibility with Spotify Connect, MQA, Tidal, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, and TuneIn, all present and correct. Additionally, the T3X supports Audirvana and AirPlay and is Roon Ready.

Meanwhile, the rear panel offers balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analogue outputs via an analogue buffer derived from Lumin's X1. A gold-plated binding post provides a grounding link.

The T3X incorporates the lossless Leedh Processing Volume Control system, while Lumin's playback and music management app is available for iOS and Android operating systems.

Available now, the Lumin T3X's chassis is milled from quality high-grade aluminium and offered in natural silver or black anodised finishes. RRP is €5.490 / US$5,490 / £4,495 / AU$8,490.
