Lockwood Loudspeakers has announced its latest strategic development, marking a significant milestone in the company's ongoing expansion and investment programme.

Lockwood Loudspeaker's new site in Hamilton, Scotland, has been equipped as a modern, fully integrated production facility, capable of supporting every stage of loudspeaker manufacturing — from precision cabinet construction and veneering to final assembly and comprehensive quality assurance.

To support this expansion, Lockwood has assembled a highly skilled local team with deep expertise in hand-building premium loudspeakers.

By investing in Scottish industry, Lockwood proclaims this "reaffirms its commitment to regional manufacturing" while upholding the values of traditional British engineering and artisanal excellence that have defined the brand since its founding in 1930.

Lockwood's Head Office, Research and Development, Branding and Marketing, Special Ops division, and dedicated demonstration spaces will continue to operate from the company's long-established base in Gerrards Cross, London, which it says goes to "maintaining continuity in innovation, design, and leadership."

Danny Timms, CEO of Lockwood Loudspeakers and third-generation custodian of the brand, told StereoNET

We're proud to open our new manufacturing site in Hamilton — a major milestone that reflects Lockwood's deep-rooted commitment to British manufacturing. This investment reinforces our mission to build loudspeakers with integrity, precision, and pride — a tradition started by my grandfather Stanley Timms in 1930 and carried forward by my father, Andrew Timms. We're not just building loudspeakers — we're continuing a legacy.

To further support its growing global operations, Lockwood also announces two key senior appointments. These are Andrew Provan, who joins as Operations Director, responsible for overseeing the supply chain and all aspects of production across Lockwood's UK sites and Vince Wade, who joins as Sales Director, tasked with accelerating international sales and expanding Lockwood's customer base worldwide.

The company states, "This expansion reflects increasing global demand and signals a bold new chapter for Lockwood Loudspeakers," adding that it "enhances the company's production capacity, broadens its international reach, and ensures that future generations can experience the unmistakable clarity, character, and emotion of the Lockwood sound."

We look forward to hearing more as this storied British firm continues to grow.
