Lehmannaudio Vertriebs GmbH was founded in 1988 by Norbert Lehmann in Cologne, Germany. After 11 years in the pleasant town of Bergisch Gladbach, the company returned to the Rhineland metropolis in the spring of 2018.

We're told that, during Norbert's audio engineering studies, he conducted a direct A/B comparison of two amplifiers with identical technical specifications. Amazed by how much they differed in sound quality, he realised that good sound depends on much more than technical data.

That listening session sparked a passion in Norbert which has never ceased. His essential question: "How can I build audio technology so that it communicates the musician's intention as musically and faithfully as possible?" For him, this aspect is nothing less than crucial in developing high-end components. He adds, "When I finally learn that my customers are happy while listening, I know that all efforts are worth it."

Daniel Raggett, Director of Symphony Distribution, told StereoNET:

I have known of Lehmannaudio's products for many years. They have a great reputation, not only in the UK but around the world, winning countless review plaudits and numerous awards along the way. Having got to meet Norbert in Munich, it really enforced how much passion and effort he puts into designing, developing, and manufacturing his products. I am so pleased to now be offered the opportunity to represent Lehmannaudio in the UK. There is already a fantastic range of products available to the market, but with the addition of new products like the Isolation Base Platforms and Turntable weights, this will promote the company even further.

Lehmannaudio's Norbert Lehmann states:

Daniel had been recommended to me as having a strong focus on a rather limited number of brands. This inevitably leads to even higher customer satisfaction than before, which is our top priority at Lehmannaudio. Our products are made for sonic performance without distraction.

We have enjoyed both the Black Cube SEII Sven Väth Edition phono stage (above) and Linear USB II headphone amp (below) when they were reviewed by StereoNET and look forward to hearing more from the brand now that Symphony Distribution is handling it in the UK.
