JBL Modern Audio Removes Home Cinema Pain Points

JBL's next-generation AV receivers and partnering Stage 2 loudspeakers "reimagine the home cinema experience for a new generation of buyers."
The JBL Modern Audio (MA) AV Receivers and Stage 2 loudspeakers promise to be refreshingly simple to install, connect, and upgrade. Moreover, the new system is scalable and can be configured for stereo, 5.1, or full Dolby Atmos, depending on your chosen options.

Designed to be an out-of-the-box media solution or an upgrade for existing home theatre setups, the Wi-Fi-enabled AVRs feature Works with SmartThings IoT integration and are compatible with Bluetooth and various audio platforms, including Apple AirPlay and Chromecast.

Furthermore, system calibration has been simplified using the EZ Set EQ mobile app, so getting the best from your MA system should be a breeze.

Meanwhile, the Stage 2 loudspeakers have been given a lifestyle glow-up, resulting in what JBL describes as a "Slim and sleek, with a contemporary, playful design" available in Latte and Espresso colour options.

The new lines have been designed and tuned at the JBL Center of Acoustics Excellence in Northridge, California, which suggests that there could well be some JBL Synthesis DNA under the hood. The systems feature innovations such as "next-generation" patented HDI waveguides and anodised tweeters designed by "the same engineers who create the most advanced high-performance audio systems on the market today."

Whether you are just starting out with a basic two-channel system, upgrading from a soundbar or simple home audio system, or looking to build a high-end home theatre setup featuring 8K HDMI video, Dolby Atmos immersive sound and DTS:X, these product ranges can scale accordingly. Moreover, each model's performance has been optimised individually and as a system, promising you the freedom to create the setup you want without sacrificing sound quality.

Dave Tovissi, Vice President & General Manager of Luxury Audio at HARMAN International, told StereoNET:
Solving for modern consumer behaviours and concerns was front and centre when we developed these products. We designed the systems to blend perfectly into today's lifestyle, giving users the sound quality and simplicity of use they always wanted from a home theatre system but never found – until now.
