The British mains conditioning specialist says the new models sit at the top of its Ultimate Series and are designed to work together as a complete high-end power optimisation system. The V5 Genesis is aimed primarily at source components and preamplifiers, while the V5 Super Titan has been developed for high-current demands such as power amplifiers.

The V5 Genesis is IsoTek’s latest mains power generator and follows six years of research and development. Unlike conventional regeneration designs that reference the incoming mains supply, IsoTek says the Genesis creates a new sine wave independently from scratch, using two identical 300W generation cells.
Each cell produces an optimised signal through a synchronous sine wave generator, a Class A/B amplification stage and an output transformer with copper foil shielding between the primary and secondary windings. The result is 600W of continuously generated power that IsoTek says remains independent of incoming mains quality.

IsoTek claims total harmonic distortion of 0.05 per cent, rising to 0.17 per cent under typical loads and staying below 0.3 per cent with demanding components. Output voltage is said to be held to 230V ±2 per cent, compared with European mains standards that allow 230V ±10 per cent.
IsoTek founder and managing director Keith Martin said the company had looked at existing regeneration systems and believed it could build something better:
We looked at existing regeneration systems and thought, ‘we can build something better’. Six years of extensive R&D later, the first Genesis was born. The new V5 version takes this technology to the next level.
The V5 Genesis features four fully isolated output sockets, with no two outlets connected together. A front-panel OLED display shows input and output voltage, THD, power consumption and generation engine status in real time. Its dual-cell design also allows either generation cell to be powered down when all outputs are not required.

The V5 Super Titan, meanwhile, is IsoTek’s new high-current mains conditioner and is claimed to deliver close to 8,000W of continuous power. IsoTek says current delivery has doubled compared with its predecessor, while resistance has been reduced and copper loading on the PCB has been tripled.
The Super Titan uses the company’s Direct-Coupled circuit topology with four seven-stage filter networks arranged in a series-parallel configuration. IsoTek says the design operates continuously at 32A, removes both Differential Mode and Common Mode noise, and provides approximately 85dB of RFI reduction.

Internal wiring across both models uses silver-plated Ohno Continuous Cast copper solid-core conductors with a Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene dielectric. The Super Titan also includes IsoTek’s KERP system, designed to provide equal resistance paths to all four outlets, along with 153,000A of instantaneous protection through the company’s sequential and repeatable protection system.
Both models use IsoTek’s ISIS suspended sub-chassis, developed with acoustic materials specialist Kurt Olbert of Clearlight Audio, to help isolate the internal circuitry from microphonic and subsonic vibration. The two units share the same 500 x 300 x 500mm dimensions and can be stacked as a system, with the Super Titan including an Auxiliary System Link for connecting and powering a V5 Genesis directly.

The IsoTek V5 Genesis and V5 Super Titan are due to be available from September, priced at £26,995 and £17,995 respectively.
