ICEpower has unveiled its new SC400A2 amplifier platform, a compact 400W‑per‑channel Class D module built around the company’s radical new Super Conductor topology.

The design keeps the entire signal path — modulator, chain and feedback — fully analogue. This, we’re told, enables the module to deliver gain with zero colouration and distortion levels so low that ICEpower had to build new test equipment just to measure them. The result is a claimed THD+N of 0.0002% at 100W, a noise floor of just 34 µVrms A‑weighted, and a frequency response extending beyond 100 kHz.

As CTO Patrik Bostrøm explains, “It is an analogue Class D amplifier with a Globally Controlled Oscillation Modulator (or GCOM) as a core, and two nested second-order negative feedback loops around it. Nested negative feedback loops aren't new in themselves, but having a fourth-order slope which also joins the slope of the output filter presents challenges. It has required a lot of work."

To support the launch, ICEpower has also released the 750S Universal Power Supply, a compact PFC‑based unit delivering 750W continuous power, 1200W peaks, and a 22W auxiliary converter with dedicated fan output.

Together, the SC400A2 and 750S form a drop‑in, reference‑grade platform for high‑end streamers, active speakers and studio monitors — giving manufacturers a fast, reliable path to truly transparent Class D performance.
