Named after Cubitt Court, Fyne Audio’s new Glasgow HQ and high-end product factory, Cubitt 5 continues the brand’s engineering heritage by bringing it a step closer to a wider, more connected audience.

The Cubitt 5 is a fully active bookshelf speaker system with Fyne technologies and expertise at its core, designed to bring genuine high-fidelity sound to a new generation of music lovers. The company aims to connect people with music in the simplest way possible through devices and platforms they know and love.

Marking a pivotal step for the brand, Cubitt 5 distils Fyne Audio’s acoustic engineering into an active, all-in-one bookshelf solution enabling you to stream to it from a smartphone, connect it to a turntable or even your television.
Anji Sosna, MD, Fyne Audio, told StereoNET:
Cubitt 5 delivers on a simple yet powerful idea: that connecting with music should be effortless, and great sound should be accessible to everyone.
At the core of Cubitt 5 lies Fyne Audio’s latest 5-inch (125mm) IsoFlare point-source driver, hailed for its precise stereo imaging and natural, room-filling sound. By radiating sound from a single point in space, IsoFlare creates a cohesive listening experience. This is further enhanced by FyneFlute surround technology, which reduces unwanted colouration and improves overall clarity, ensuring music is reproduced with accuracy and balance across a wide listening area.

Cubitt 5 integrates amplification, crossover and digital signal processing within the speaker system itself, with up to 240W of power on tap and support for 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution audio. We’re told to expect a “confident, dynamic performance without the need for external components, cables or Hi-Fi complexities.”
Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD and AAC is the choice for Cubitt 5’s wireless connectivity. Fyne says the Bluetooth circuit has undergone extensive development to ensure the cleanest signal path to the amplification module.

For cabled connections, the Cubitt 5 features a built-in “high quality” phono stage for vinyl playback, while analogue and optical digital connections offer input for any legacy equipment and devices around the home. Additionally, the compact speakers can enhance your TV audio thanks to their HDMI eARC connection.
Rounding things off is a subwoofer output for a little LFE boost and a neat little remote control that docks discreetly on the rear of one speaker.

Fyne Audio states that its Cubitt 5 is the culmination of two years of research and development aimed at encouraging a new generation of music lovers to enjoy high-fidelity music reproduction at home.
Christopher Mills, Electroacoustic Engineer, Fyne Audio, comments
Cubitt 5 isn’t trying to turn music lovers into audiophiles. It’s simply bringing true hi-fi sound to the way people already listen to music, making that musical connection deeper, richer, and more engaging.

Following Fyne's first foray into home cinema, the Cubitt 5 is proof positive that the company is looking to make its point-sourced presence felt with a more diverse audience.
Fyne Audio’s Cubitt 5 is priced at £549 | €649 | US$749 | A$1,499 and comes in Midnight Black, Pearl Titanium, Olive Green, Pebble Grey, and Arctic White. The speakers are scheduled to be available from June 2026.
