Following a change of distribution for Cambridge Audio, PQ Imports says, "we've been very busy analysing market trends, comparing all brands, prices and features, looking for the next up and coming brand to offer our dealers and their clients something better than what we had before."

This search uncovered a sleeping giant, Advance Paris, established in 1995 and based in the outskirts of Paris, France. Advance Paris offers a comprehensive range of superbly featured electronics that are exceptionally well built and highly regarded in Germany, France and Holland, says PQ Imports.

The range is extensive, with 28 models spanning categories including amplifiers, streamers, streaming amps, all-in-one units, CD players and preamp/power amp combos, "plus some unique and very interesting products that simply have no equivalent competition," according to the newly appointed distributor.

Noteworthy is Advance Paris' highly regarded PlayStream A7 integrated Class AB amplifier offering 2x115W (8ohm) power output. The A7 is also a highly competent network player that uses ethernet or Wi-Fi and offers streaming services, including Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz, Tidal, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, vTuner, Napster, and more. It allows network playback of your music library stored on your smartphone, tablet, computer or NAS-type network drive, as well as featuring a DAB+ digital tuner, an FM tuner, four digital inputs including one coaxial and three optical, an HDMI ARC input, a USB input as well as six analog inputs including a configurable phono input.

The Advance Paris PlayStream A7 will sell in New Zealand for $2,699 RRP, and stock is already on its way.

We look forward to taking a closer look at the Advance Paris range and diving deeper into the extensive product range.
