Falcon Acoustics Announces Q7 Mini-Monitor Kit

Falcon Acoustics Q7 Mini-Monitor added to Complete@Home speaker kit series
Falcon Acoustics' Q7 mini monitor kit has just joined the IMF100 in the company's high-performance Complete@Home series ready for home assembly. No soldering is required for this 2-way design, and all the tools you'll need are provided. Furthermore, construction is guided by an online instruction manual and YouTube video.

Falcon states that the Q7 Mini-Monitor represents a wholesale upgrade to the original Q7 kit, designed by Malcolm Jones and sold by Falcon for many years. The new Q7 self-assembly project is supplied complete with Italian production-grade Baltic birch ply cabinets specially extended beyond LS3/5a size to produce an optimum Q = 0.7 system, resulting in extra bass (+2dB @ 50 Hz) when compared with the LS3/5a.

The company's new Complete@Home model features the Falcon B110 Bextrene Cone bass driver and T27 Mylar dome tweeter in matched pairs, as employed by the Falcon LS3/5a. A Falcon 23.2 factory-assembled pre-wired crossover is also included, mirroring the original Malcolm Jones design but arranged on a modern multi-layer board.

The magnetically secured cloth grilles are attached to a choice of natural Walnut or Rosewood-veneered baffles. Around the rear, you'll find high-quality 4mm Custom-Designed nickel-plated binding posts.
Made in the same factory as the renowned Falcon Acoustics BBC LS3/5a, the Q7 has similar voicing but added bass extension to the LS3/5a's famed clarity and insight with a claimed frequency response of 60Hz-20kHz +/- 3dB and 83dB/2.83V/m sensitivity. As with the LS3/5a, the Q7 has an impedance of 15 ohms.

In as little as two hours, you will have constructed a system of unrivalled provenance will be ready to deliver a lifetime of musical enjoyment, says Falcon Acoustics.
The Falcon Acoustics Q7 mini-monitor Complete@Home kit has an RRP of £995 (including tools and VAT) and is available now. Tygan front grilles and Q7 Silver Badge crossover upgrade options are also available.
By popular request, Falcon has introduced a factory-built/tested version of the Complete@Home IMF100 kit for an extra £300 +VAT a pair (£1855).
