English Electric, a Chord Company brand, has launched the EE1 Plus, an advanced version of its EE1 network noise isolator, introducing improvements in noise reduction from lessons learned since the original.

The EE1 Plus builds on 40 years of Chord Company's audio signal expertise and fits discreetly between Ethernet cables in hi-fi streaming systems. We're told the unit eliminates network noise often generated by household devices without hindering digital signals. The company adds that although digital signals are generally robust, they are frequently accompanied by a degree of noise.
English Electric states the EE1 Plus's passive design converts unwanted noise into heat, ensuring digital data quality remains unaffected. It features galvanic isolation, targeted common-mode filtering, and Chord Company's proprietary ARAY technology.

Noise reduction can be achieved in various configurations: between a data switch and a streamer/server, a server and a streamer, or a router and a data switch. Further reduction can be attained by using additional devices, such as having a unit between your router and data switch as well as one between the switch and a streamer.

Manufactured from precision-machined aluminium and featuring two premium decoupled isolation feet, the EE1 Plus is "engineered for superior performance in streaming hi-fi systems."
The Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2025
Chord Company will demonstrate the English Electric EE1 Plus alongside the PhonoARAY turntable earthing system this weekend at the UK's Bristol Hi-Fi Show.

These new products will join recent additions to the range, including two USB-C cables, the C-USB and Clearway USB, the Leyline RCA/Leyline 2XL interconnects and speaker cable and the Epic Digital Tuned ARAY cable. You will find them in the Empire 3 Suite on the ground floor and the ground floor foyer.

The English Electric EE1 Plus is now available at £600 and, for a limited time, is supplied with a free 0.75m C-Stream streaming cable. The EE1 remains also available.
We are awaiting confirmed pricing in other territories.
