EgglestonWorks Artisan Series Ready For UK Audition

EgglestonWork's Artisan Series loudspeakers are handcrafted, more attainable and now available in the UK

EgglestonWorks' Artisan models bring Memphis-based company's handcrafted excellence, and reputation to a price level generally associated with mass-produced products, states the manufacturer.

With prices ranging from £6,000 to £12,500, the Nico EVO, Emma EVO and OSO are all hand-built to order, just like the brand's higher-end models, such as those in the Reference Series, where prices start at £70,000 for the Savoy Reference Signature.

The £6,000 Nico EVOlution is the entry point of the EgglestonWorks Artisan EVO series and sports a re-designed cabinet, internal bracing and porting systems. This standmount speaker comes with its own custom stands and features a 6-inch woofer paired with a 1-inch fabric dome tweeter and Hi-Dynamic Range voice coil/magnet system resulting in a claimed 38Hz-24kHz frequency response and 87dB sensitivity from this 8 ohm-rated speaker.

The middle child is the Emma Evo, a 43-inch tall floorstanding loudspeaker that brings in a pair of 6-inch woofers to match with the 1-inch fabric dome tweeter and Hi-Dynamic Range voice coil/magnet, enabling it to reach down to a stated 30Hz. Priced at £7,500, the Emma Evo has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and an 88dB sensitivity.

Top of the current Artisan Series is the £12,500 Oso. This 45-inch tall floorstander is a 3-way system utilising a single tweeter, a pair of 6-inch midrange units, and a side-firing 10-inch woofer, resulting in a claimed 28Hz-24kHz frequency response and 87dB sensitivity. Nominal impedance here is quoted at 4 ohms.

Although at a comparatively more attainable price point, we are assured that the Artisan models continue to feature carefully selected components and materials and can be finished in pretty much any colour you wish - just like their more aspirationally-priced siblings.
