The update applies to all current Denon and Marantz models already supporting Dirac Live Room Correction and Dirac Live Bass Control, allowing owners to take their systems to an even higher level of performance.

This includes Denon’s flagship AVR-A1H and AVR-A10H alongside the AVR-X6800H, AVR-X4800H, and AVR-X3800H — known as AVC models in Europe and APAC — as well as Marantz’s AV10, AV20, CINEMA 30, CINEMA 40, and CINEMA 50. Together, they form the first wave of AVRs to receive Dirac’s latest professional-grade processing outside of the specialist market.

Fredric Tapper, Vice President and Head of Business Development at Dirac said:

“Dirac Live ART unlocks an entirely new level of performance for Denon and Marantz systems. As two of the most trusted and widely adopted brands in home theatre and audio, Denon and Marantz are among the first to feature this breakthrough technology, bringing studio-grade precision and innovation to a broader audience.”

Introduced in 2023, Dirac Live ART builds on the existing Dirac Live platform by enabling every loudspeaker in the room to cooperate in managing low-frequency behaviour. By controlling the critical 20–150Hz range, the system reduces reverberation times and improves bass articulation across the listening space. Unlike traditional correction tools that treat each speaker independently, ART applies Dirac’s patented MIMO technology to align phase and optimise the sound field in real time.

The result is bass that is smoother, tighter, and more consistent, even in challenging or asymmetrical rooms — with benefits that usually demand heavy physical acoustic treatment.

Tapper added:

“Whether in a purpose-built theatre or an open living room, Dirac Live ART elevates the system into a precisely tuned environment where every note and detail comes through with greater clarity and impact.”

We will need to verify industry feedback and reviews, however early indications suggest that Dirac Live ART can transform systems and rooms wherever it is applied, delivering tighter bass, improved clarity, and a remarkably more immersive listening experience.

Owners of compatible Denon and Marantz models can upgrade with a Dirac Live ART licence for US $299. Licences can be purchased individually or bundled with Dirac Live Room Correction and Bass Control.
