Cary Audio's new DMS-650 replaces the DMS-550, while the DMS-800 Professional Version is now the range-topping digital player. According to the North Carolina-based brand, these are the result of the "various needs and desires of customers".
CARY AUDIO DMS-650
First up is the DMS-650 Network Audio Player, which now becomes the entry-level point to the DMS platform. That said, it is based around a pair of AK4497EQ Verita DACs, making it capable of native 32-bit / 768kHz PCM and DSD 512. It's also Roon Ready and MQA Certified.

Furthermore, the DMS-650 allows streaming from TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, Spotify Connect, vTuner, or files stored on a network computer or NAS Drive.

You also get three USB-A ports for listening from connected USB hard drives, flash drives, and even from an SD card. As an extra measure for convenience, the DMS-650 also includes aptX HD input and output as well as Airplay.

CARY AUDIO DMS-800 PV
Meanwhile, the DMS-800 Professional Version (PV) Network Audio Player is a dual-mono design, doubling almost everything inside the renowned DMS-700.

So, each stage board boasts its own four-channel current output switched resistor AK4499EQ DAC for a total of eight individual DAC channels. Additionally, there's a Crystek Oscillator Clock, two separate DSP driver stages, 14 groups of independently regulated power supplies and two independent groups of analogue stage regulation power supplies.

Outside, there's a 5-inch high-resolution display giving you easy access to the suite of streaming services as per the 650, including MQA Certification, Roon Ready status and AirPlay.

Finally, the DMS-800PV also sports a trio of USB-A ports and aptX HD input and output.
The DMS-650 has a suggested retail price (inc VAT) of €6,500, while the DMS-800PV has a retail price of €16,500. Both are available now in black or silver.
