CANVAS and Samsung Frame a New Era of Home Entertainment

The HiFi Frame unites two masters of their craft: Samsung, the global leader in TV picture quality, and CANVAS, the maker of what it claims is the world’s best-sounding soundbar.

Together, they aim to transform the living room into something more than a place for entertainment. Films gain gravity, music takes on presence, and the technology recedes into a frame designed to feel like part of the home.

Samsung’s PM and PR, Knut Eirik Rornes, told StereoNET:

The HiFi Frame combines the industry’s best sound and picture in a single design that complements our most exclusive TV series. It is aimed at consumers who demand experience and aesthetics at the highest level.

Samsung’s televisions already set the standard forere image and sound merge into one immersive experience.

Attention has also been given to materials, with Kvadrat textiles chosen for acoustic transparency as much as their visual appeal. For those who prefer a more natural look, handcrafted lamella fronts in light oak, walnut, or mahogany — all FSC-certified — add warmth and integrity, designed to age gracefully in the home.

Inside the 24-litre cabinet lies CANVAS’ soundbar technology. Twin 6.5-inch woofers and paired 5×8-inch passive radiators from SB Acoustics are said to move air like a 12-inch subwoofer, without requiring an extra box. Proprietary BridgeBrace™ stiffens the structure to suppress resonance, while independent amplification for each driver, Burr-Brown DAC conversion, and precision DSP aim to keep the presentation clean, balanced, and alive.

CANVAS CEO Laust Nielsen emphasised the cultural angle of the project, saying:

This is not just a soundbar and a TV – it is a new way of thinking about home entertainment. The HiFi Frame is an invitation to a universe of design, simplicity, and cultural relevance.

The televisions come directly from Samsung’s range, starting with The Frame for art-focused displays and extending to Neo QLED 4K and 8K flagships such as the QN900D. Each slot seamlessly fits into the HiFi Frame’s structure, where the TV and CANVAS soundbar are housed together. Across sizes from 55 to 85 inches, the outer frame maintains concealed cabling and precise alignment, offering either wall-mounted minimalism or a freestanding architectural statement.

Performance tuning extends beyond hardware. Adaptive Room Correction adjusts bass and tonal balance to suit different placements, while BACCH 3D introduces a form of spatial realism by cancelling crosstalk rather than relying on reflective effects. Listeners can also choose between two master tunings: Natural, which aims for balance and studio precision, and Organic, shaped by Benno Baun Meldgaard to bring added openness and vibrancy in real-world spaces.

Control and connectivity are designed to be straightforward, with support for Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Roon, and HDMI eARC. Analogue input keeps vinyl playback in the mix, while setup is intended to be near-instant via iPhone or Android. Once connected, CANVAS responds directly to the TV remote, ensuring lip-sync accuracy and seamless integration.

Clarity Group will exclusively distribute the HiFi Frame in Singapore. Its CEO, Soon Ong, framed the collaboration as more than just another product launch:

This exciting collaboration between CANVAS and Samsung is not just about technology – it’s about creating an experience that matches the modern spaces in Singapore. As we go through an era of streaming content, we become more expectant of quality sound with unique aesthetics to complement our homes, and that’s what CANVAS is all about.

The HiFi Frame will debut globally at IFA Berlin (Hall 21, Stand 115) from September 5–9, 2025, before rolling out internationally from October.
