Campfire Audio Shoots for the Stars with Andromeda 10 Anniversary Earphone

Campfire Audio has unveiled the Andromeda 10, a ten-driver reimagining of its most iconic earphone.

Launched at CanJam SoCal to mark the company’s tenth anniversary, the release not only honours the legacy of the original 2016 Andromeda but also signals a bold technical leap for the Portland-based brand.
Since its debut in 2016, the Andromeda has become one of the most recognisable designs in the in-ear monitor world, with its trademark green finish, balanced yet slightly lively tuning, and instantly identifiable shape. Over the past decade, Campfire has iterated on the design through special editions and alternate tunings, cementing its place as the company’s flagship model.

StereoNET reported on the last major refresh in 2020, when the Andromeda carried a five-driver balanced armature configuration (2 low, 1 mid, 2 high) with a Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber, rated at 112.8 dB sensitivity and 12.8 Ω impedance, using beryllium copper MMCX connectors.
By contrast, the new Andromeda 10 doubles the driver count to ten custom balanced armatures — four handling bass, four covering the midrange, and two dedicated to highs — while adopting 2-pin connectors for the first time in a Campfire earphone. The updated model offers a revised sensitivity of 94 dB, lower impedance at 8.5 Ω, and a rated frequency response of 5 Hz to 20 kHz, underscoring both its technical ambition and fresh tuning approach.
Ken Ball, founder of Campfire Audio, told StereoNET that the Andromeda 10 represents the culmination of a decade of refinement:
Since its debut in 2016, the Andromeda has been a favourite among audiophiles and quickly became our most iconic IEM at Campfire Audio. To honour ten years of Campfire products, we’ve elevated that championed design with everything we’ve learned over the past decade, from tuning refinements to new driver configurations, to create Andromeda 10.

To celebrate the milestone, Campfire is offering two limited Special Edition variants. These feature polished black PVD stainless steel housings with Damascus steel faceplates in either black or gold finishes. Each ships with a premium 7N OCC gold-plated copper cable designed to match the upgraded performance, and production is capped at just 250 units per finish worldwide.
Like all Campfire products, the Andromeda 10 is built by hand in Portland, Oregon, where the brand continues to emphasise craft and small-batch assembly. Ball says this attention to detail ensures the anniversary model embodies both the spirit of the original and the company’s forward momentum.

The Campfire Audio Andromeda 10 Special Editions are priced at US $2,499 and limited to 250 units per finish. Pre-orders open in late September, with shipments expected to begin in mid-October. The Andromeda 10 in classic green anodised aluminium will follow at US $1,699 with additional regional pricing to be confirmed.
