BenQ Unveils W5800 Flagship Home Cinema Projector

With up to 2,600 ANSI Lumens brightness and a 16:9 ratio that can be adjusted to true cinemascope 2.35:1 with an external Anamorphic lens, the W5800 is a DLP projector with a laser light source that features a 14-element 7-group lens system that is coated with low dispersion materials to reduce colour difference and enhance the viewing experience.

In Cinema mode, the projector can cover 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut at a brightness of up to 1,700 ANSI Lumens. The W5800 has a throw ratio of 1.52~2.45 and a contrast ratio (FOFO) of 2,000,000:1 with the brand's Dynamic Black technology. 

Colour temperature tuning is combined with BenQ's HDR-PRO technology to obtain a good balance regardless of whether it's a bright or dark scene. The Blue Core Laser technology inside allows the W5800 to outlast most traditional projector lamps, with a lifespan of up to 25,000 hours in Eco mode. 

For flexible installation, the W5800 has adjustment tools such as a 1.6x optical motorised zoom lens and 2D lens shift that offer ±50% vertical and ±21% horizontal lens shift, with keystone adjustment of ±35 degrees vertically and horizontally.

On the rear, there's support for both ARC and eARC via two HDMI ports, supporting Dolby Atmos and audio signals up to 7.1 channels. In addition, there are also two USB-A ports, an RS-232 port, a USB-B service port, an RJ45 LAN port, an S/PDIF port and a 3D Sync out port.
