BE@RBRICK AUDIO Mickey Mouse 400% Brings Iconic Design to Hi-Fi

MEDICOM TOY and Rinaro Isodynamics have teamed up to launch the BE@RBRICK AUDIO Mickey Mouse 400% Portable Bluetooth® Speaker.

Limited in release, it blends collectible design, cultural heritage, and advanced audio engineering, following five years of development and more than 20,000 hours of work invested into the BE@RBRICK AUDIO project. First introduced in 2023, the platform was hailed as a breakthrough in compact high-fidelity systems.

This new edition pays tribute to Mickey Mouse, who, since his 1928 debut, has become a universal symbol of imagination and joy. The release captures nostalgia and innovation by combining his instantly recognisable form with BE@RBRICK’s collectible artistry and Rinaro’s acclaimed acoustic engineering. Pavlo Shymanowych, Founder of Rinaro Isodynamics, said:
“For this extremely limited release, each owner will secure something truly special. Combining Mickey’s iconic design with our QUAD’360™ audio technology creates a unique fusion of nostalgia and high-performance sound — a collectible experience like no other.”

The BE@RBRICK AUDIO Mickey Mouse 400% features Rinaro’s proprietary QUAD’360™ technology, with four custom-engineered drivers integrated into the figure’s head. Two tweeters and two woofers deliver a 90Hz–20kHz frequency range with seamless 360-degree dispersion, offering performance that surpasses expectations for its size. Users can pair two speakers for a true stereo experience, while playback controls are cleverly embedded in the figure’s hands—twist the right to skip tracks, twist the left to adjust volume.

With Bluetooth® 5 connectivity, USB-C fast charging, and a replaceable lithium-ion battery providing up to six hours of playback, the design remains functional and faithful to the original BE@RBRICK 400% proportions.

The collaboration also highlights the pedigree of both partners. Since 2001, MEDICOM TOY’s BE@RBRICK has evolved into an art toy phenomenon, attracting collaborations across fashion, design, and fine art. Rinaro Isodynamics, established in 1985 and rooted in Ukraine, is globally recognised for pioneering planar magnetic technologies and is behind the MZ3SE Isodynamic Hybrid Array® drivers used in Meze Audio’s flagship Elite headphones. Their expertise in reference-grade audio engineering now brings the BE@RBRICK project a unique acoustic edge. Or, as Mickey himself might say: “Aw, gee, this sure sounds swell!”

The BE@RBRICK AUDIO Mickey Mouse 400% Portable Bluetooth® Speaker will officially launch on September 4, 2025. It will be available in very limited quantities priced at US$700.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
