Audio-Technica's ATH-ADX7000 are the brand's latest pair of open-back headphones, promising outstanding performance for their premium price.

Packing innovative HXTD (High-Concentricity X (Transfer) Dynamic Transducer) driver technology with an incredibly lightweight design (275g), Audio-Technica guarantees a "natural, spacious and comfortable high-end listening experience".

Audio-Technica's HXDT uses a highly controlled moulding and alignment method to ensure the 58mm diaphragm, baffle plate, magnet, and voice coil are perfectly concentric, with tolerances tightened to ±0.02 mm—nearly 10 times more precise than conventional designs, according to the manufacturer.

The ADX7000's aluminium housings feature a honeycomb configuration to deliver more efficient airflow, reducing internal pressure and resonance. This should also result in powerful, articulate bass alongside exceptional midrange clarity and high-frequency purity.

The ATH-ADX7000 should also be comfortable to wear thanks to its lightweight housings and magnesium-alloy frame. Meanwhile, a choice of Alcantara microfibre or velvet earpads promises to further cosset your lobes.

The new AT open-backs come bundled with two detachable cables: a balanced cable with a 4-pin XLRM connector and an unbalanced alternative with a 6.3mm end. Both feature Neutrik connectors and gold-tipped A2DC connectors.
Finally, each pair of the ATH-ADX7000 is individually serialised and comes with its own hard carrying case.

The Audio-Technica ATH-ADX7000 will be available from 31st October, priced at £3,000 | €3,499 | US$3,499 | A4,999.
