The new model follows the original Audio Pro A15, which StereoNET covered in 2022 as a portable speaker designed to bring multiroom music into gardens, patios and other spaces away from mains power. The A15 W looks to carry that same idea forward, but now sits within Audio Pro’s newer W series, which has been rolling out across the company’s wireless speaker range with updated app control and expanded streaming support.

That makes this less a completely new concept and more a modernised version of one of Audio Pro’s more useful designs. Visually, you would be hard pressed to spot the difference at a glance, with the A15 W retaining the same compact, fabric-wrapped form factor and understated Scandinavian styling as the earlier A15. The more meaningful changes appear to sit inside, where the speaker now combines Audio Pro multiroom, Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast in one unit.

Audio Pro says the rechargeable battery is designed for use around the home, in the garden, on camping trips or in rooms where power points are not conveniently placed. The company’s current product page quotes up to 19 hours of battery life, although some launch material lists up to 11 hours, so real-world endurance may depend heavily on volume level and playback method.

As before, the appeal is not that the A15 W is a fully rugged outdoor speaker. Its IPX2 rating means it is protected against light splashes and rain rather than serious water exposure. That should make it suitable for casual outdoor use, kitchens, bathrooms or poolside placement, but it is not the sort of speaker you would want to leave out in a storm.

The speaker uses a two-way driver arrangement comprising a dedicated tweeter and a 4.5-inch woofer, with Audio Pro promising room-filling sound from a relatively compact cabinet. The brand has traditionally occupied a useful middle ground in the wireless speaker market, offering a more hi-fi-flavoured alternative to mainstream smart speakers without moving into full separates territory.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi streaming through the latest Audio Pro app, Bluetooth with aptX support, Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast. The A15 W can also be grouped with other A15 W speakers or compatible Audio Pro W-series models for multiroom playback, while support for Apple and Google ecosystems should make it easier to integrate into existing homes.

Audio Pro has also retained one of its more practical features in the form of six physical preset buttons. These allow favourite playlists or internet radio stations to be recalled without opening an app, which remains a small but useful point of difference in a category that can sometimes feel too phone-dependent.

A 3.5mm auxiliary input is also fitted, allowing connection of external sources such as portable players, CD players or turntables with a suitable phono stage. It is a simple inclusion, but one that makes the A15 W more flexible than many purely app-driven wireless speakers.

The A15 W continues Audio Pro’s familiar styling, with a fabric-wrapped cabinet, contrasting aluminium control buttons and a restrained choice of finishes. It is available in Dark Grey and Light Grey, while Audio Pro’s official site also lists a black version in some markets. The Audio Pro A15 W is on sale now, priced at £299 | US$400.
