Audiodesksysteme Gläss arguably pioneered ultrasonic vinyl-cleaning technology and, with the Premium Silent Core One, offers the biggest overhaul yet of its category-defining machine.

Since debuting in 2009 with "The Original" fully automatic ultrasonic Vinyl Cleaner, the company has become a category benchmark through continuous refinement.

Since then, the machine has undergone continuous refinement over nearly two decades. Key milestones in its development include the launch of the Vinyl Cleaner PRO in 2015, followed by the PRO-X in 2019, and most recently the Vinyl Cleaner Premium in 2025.

Now entering its fifth generation, the Premium “Silent Core One” represents the most comprehensive upgrade to date. According to Audio Desk Systeme, the redesign is the result of 18 months of development, driven by close collaboration with distributors and end users to identify and address areas for improvement.

At the heart of the new model is an in-house-developed “Silent Core One” drive motor. This unit is said to deliver greater power while operating more quietly and offering improved reliability over previous versions. Complementing this is a significantly shortened drying cycle, with the company claiming a reduction of approximately 50 percent.

Further refinements extend to the machine’s internal layout and functionality. The water pump has been repositioned to improve cooling efficiency, while a new software control system incorporates current management designed to protect against short circuits. These changes aim to enhance both performance and long-term durability.

Attention has also been paid to the cleaning process itself. Newly designed microfibre rollers feature improved concentricity, which should deliver quieter operation and more consistent contact with the record surface. Meanwhile, the rinsing stage has been upgraded to higher-pressure water delivery for greater effectiveness, and redesigned drying wipers promise quieter performance, eliminate the occasional squeaking noted in earlier models, and offer extended lifespan.

Serviceability marks a significant step forward for the brand. Unlike previous generations, which often required units to be returned to Germany for major repairs, the Premium “Silent Core One” can now be serviced by authorised centres. This includes replacing key components, such as the motor or water pump, a move that should make ownership more convenient for international users.

Filtration has also been improved with the introduction of a new wet filter system, designed to enhance debris removal and overall cleaning results.

Naturally, the record cleaner's core appeal remains unchanged. The Audio Desk Systeme machine continues to offer fully automatic ultrasonic cleaning and drying of both sides of a record at the touch of a single button—an approach that set it apart when first introduced and continues to define its market position.

For customers in the United States, the company has confirmed that the new model and its accessories will be sold directly from the factory for the foreseeable future.

The Audio Desk Systeme Premium “Silent Core One” vinyl cleaner is available now, with a suggested retail price of US$3,599 | €2.799.
