Based in the UK, Kerr Acoustic has built a reputation for crafting high-performance loudspeakers that combine studio precision with musical warmth. The K300 Mk.3 — the company's most compact floorstander — embodies that approach, delivering extended bass, wide dynamic range, and an airy, transparent presentation from its transmission line design and bespoke drive units.

Born out of a lifelong passion for music and audio technology, Kerr Acoustic reflects the unique perspective of its founder and designer, Jes Kerr. With a background as a session musician and producer, Jes brings a finely tuned ear and hands-on experience in collecting, restoring, and modifying loudspeakers.

Every Kerr Acoustic model is designed and hand-built in the UK by a small, dedicated team, using high-grade Baltic birch plywood and meticulously selected components. Cabinets are hand-finished, either in lacquer or real wood veneer, and each speaker undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure it delivers the accuracy, refinement, and musical engagement the brand has become known for in both professional and home listening spaces.
Jes Kerr told StereoNET:
StereoNET has been a great supporter of Kerr Acoustic in the UK over the years, so we jumped at the opportunity to visit Australia and demonstrate our products to an Australian audience.
Room 3212 will feature a reference-quality yet straightforward system built to let the K300 Mk.3 loudspeakers shine. They will be paired with Chord Electronics' Ultima Integrated Amplifier, the Hugo TT2 DAC, and M-Scaler, all connected with Chord Company cables. Radiance AV (Chord Electronics) and Synergy Audio Visual (Chord Company) are generously supplying the electronics, while a MacBook streaming high-resolution music from Qobuz will keep the source refreshingly straightforward.

Kerr Acoustic's products are currently exported throughout Europe and across Asia. With no Australian distribution currently in place, this appearance offers a rare chance for local music lovers to hear Kerr Acoustic loudspeakers first-hand in Room 3212 at the show.

For Jes Kerr, it's not only a showcase but also the start of what could be a new chapter for the brand down under.
The StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show takes place August 29-31 at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park. Full show details and tickets are available via the link below.
