In a series of demonstrations in Room M5, they’ll pair classic British loudspeakers with modern networked electronics and thoughtful isolation to deliver an effortless, coherent, and deeply listenable sound.

At the heart of the main system are Harbeth’s UK-built standmounts, the newly updated M30.3 XD and Compact 7ES-3 XD2—fresh from a StereoNET review by Paul Sechi, who called them a “powerful, insightful and engaging listening experience” and gave them a StereoNET Applause Award—renowned for midband naturalness and image coherence that reward listeners who value tone and timbre over theatrics.

Audio Magic will also debut Harbeth’s NLE-1 active bookshelf, which marries the brand’s RADIAL cone technology with onboard DSP and dual 50W Class-D amplification to deliver controlled, consistent performance in real-world rooms, from workspaces to compact listening areas.

Electronics come from Lumin, with the Lumin AMP providing grip and low noise while the P1 handles preamplifier and network-player duties. Library and switching are entrusted to the L2 music server and network switch, keeping access fast and playback stable. It’s a straightforward, modern chain that should let those Harbeth cabinets breathe—and make it easy to appreciate the system’s coherence and control.

Everything sits on Finite Elemente’s Pagode Edition MKII rack, handcrafted in Germany and employing tuned resonators to manage vibrational energy. It’s domestically friendly furniture with genuine engineering behind it rather than an afterthought. Cabling will be from Tellurium Q, providing the final links in the signal path without stealing the spotlight.

If you want to hear what a network-first front end can do with classic British loudspeakers—and get an early listen to Harbeth’s new active NLE-1—drop into Room M5 at the StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi & AV Show. Expect musically engaging, real-world demonstrations that showcase why these pairings work.

The StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show takes place August 29-31 at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park. Full show details and tickets are available via the link below.
