AU SHOW: Angelic Sound Showcases New Cen.Grand & Line Magnetic

Angelic Sound will debut Cen.Grand and Line Magnetic’s latest flagships at this year’s Melbourne Hi-Fi Show.
Australian distributor Angelic Sound is set to raise the stakes at this year’s StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi Show, debuting two flagship models for the first time in Australia: Cen.Grand’s innovative GLD1.0 Deluxe Media Player and Line Magnetic’s imposing LM-212 Premium integrated amplifier in Room 2200.

Cen.Grand’s GLD1.0 Deluxe Media Player will be demonstrated locally for the very first time. Billed as the world’s first PCIe-based audio music player designed for consumers, it boldly steps away from the traditional USB asynchronous protocols that have long defined high-end digital playback. Running on robust x64 architecture with Windows at its core and sporting 500GB of internal SSD storage, the GLD1.0 is engineered to handle hi-res audio streams with speed and uncompromised stability. It's real party trick, though, is pairing directly with Cen. Grand’s DSDAC1.0 Deluxe-P via optical fibre and BNC clock sync — a design that promises flawless data transfer and clock precision, setting a new benchmark for digital purity.
We previously reported on Cen.Grand’s radical approach to digital playback, which you can explore in more detail here.

Also commanding attention in Angelic Sound’s Room 2200, will be Line Magnetic’s new heavyweight, the LM-212 Premium vacuum tube integrated amplifier. Following on from the highly regarded LM-845 Premium, the LM-212 elevates Line Magnetic’s pursuit of valve perfection with a design anchored around the legendary 212 vacuum tube. Originally developed for high-power transoceanic communications, the 212 has been painstakingly adapted by Line Magnetic for stable, safe use in domestic audio — no small feat. The result is a SET (Single-Ended-Triode) amplifier delivering an impressive power output, marrying classic valve warmth with scale and dynamics. Visually, it’s every bit as striking as its sonic credentials, sporting a dual-chassis layout to minimise noise, with glowing valves and twin needle meters that breathe with the music.

Melbourne hi-fi enthusiasts will be among the first in Australia to hear these flagship systems in action. Angelic Sound’s room promises not just cutting-edge digital and evocative valve gear, but a chance to experience how these meticulously crafted designs can transform familiar recordings into something altogether more involving.
The StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show takes place August 29-31 at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park. Full show details and tickets are available here.
