The appointment sees Advance Audio Australia handling local distribution, while its New Zealand arm, Advance One, will manage the brand across the Tasman. Stock is expected to land in Australia from mid-April, with wholesale pre-orders already open.

For Advance Audio, the move fills a notable gap. While the distributor already represents a number of high-end digital brands, Innuos positions itself slightly differently, offering both dedicated server solutions and more accessible streaming products within a single ecosystem.

Founded in Portugal and based in Faro, Innuos designs and manufactures its products in-house, covering everything from entry-level streamers through to high-performance music servers, as well as associated components such as network switches, clocks and power supplies. The company has also developed its own control platform, designed to manage playback, streaming services and CD ripping from a single interface.

According to Advance Audio Australia owner Nigel Ng, the addition is intended to broaden system flexibility rather than overlap existing brands:

Innuos gives us a very complementary streamer solution at a more accessible level than most of our existing portfolio, and a server solution for our existing streamer brands. For example, it's well known that dCS and Innuos have a strong working relationship.

That positioning is reflected in the range itself. Innuos currently offers three primary server tiers, led by the flagship Nazaré, alongside the modular ZEN and ZENith lines, which can function as servers, streamers or hybrid devices depending on configuration.

More recently, Innuos has expanded its lineup with a broader range of streaming products. As we reported in April 2025, the company used a coordinated global reveal across Axpona in Chicago, the Shanghai International Audio & Video Show and the Kaohsiung Hi-End Audio Show to introduce its STREAM1 and STREAM3 models, aimed at broadening access to its platform across different price points.

The addition of Innuos also points to a broader shift in how digital front ends are being assembled. As streaming systems become more modular, the distinction between transport, server and streamer continues to blur, with brands increasingly positioning themselves as ecosystem providers rather than single-component manufacturers.

Innuos gives Advance Audio Australia a bridge between traditional high-end digital sources and more flexible, software-driven playback systems.
