Acoustic Energy Reveals All-New 300 Series Loudspeakers

Acoustic Energy has announced the all-new 300 Series loudspeakers, a complete redesign of their mid-range lineup that takes inspiration from the cutting-edge Corinium project.
This new series, which includes the AE300² stand-mount, AE309² and AE320² floorstanders, and the AE307² LCR model, is described by the company as a significant leap forward in performance, innovation, and design.

According to Acoustic Energy, every element of the new 300 Series has been engineered from scratch, with no components carried over from its predecessor. At the core of the lineup is a brand-new mid-woofer made from an inventive blend of paper and coconut husk. The company claims this driver delivers warmth and clarity while retaining the dynamic punch traditionally associated with their designs. Paired with a newly developed soft-dome tweeter, which draws on advancements made during the Corinium project, Acoustic Energy says the result is a refined, open, and seamless sound across all frequencies.
For the first time at this price point, Acoustic Energy has incorporated its constrained layer RSC™ (Resonance Suppression Composite) cabinet technology, a hallmark of its high-end Reference Series. The company states that this advanced construction significantly reduces cabinet resonance, allowing the drive units to perform with greater purity and precision. The cabinets have also been slimmed down without adding depth, and the AE307² model features a shallow sealed cabinet with a passive radiator for versatile wall-mounting options.

Further refinements include a crossover network said to minimise phase distortion while maintaining the speakers' musicality, an approach Acoustic Energy attributes to techniques developed during the Corinium project.
The 300 Series also introduces a fresh aesthetic. Moving away from high-gloss finishes, the speakers now feature a highly durable "silk-touch" matte finish, available in walnut, black, or white. Acoustic Energy claims the new design is complemented by bespoke colour-matched trims, solid aluminium feet on floor-standing models, and premium grille fabrics, offering a modern look that still retains the brand's identity.

Mat Spandl, Managing Director of Acoustic Energy, commented on the project:
The development of the new 300 Series has been a journey of innovation and discovery. By leveraging the insights from our Corinium project, we have been able to push the boundaries of what is possible in loudspeaker design at this price point. Our goal was to create a speaker that not only delivers exceptional sound quality but also integrates seamlessly into modern living spaces. We believe the new 300 Series achieves this and more.
The new 300 Series starts at £649 for the AE300² and ranges up to £1,999 for the AE320² floorstander in the UK, with Australian pricing set to start at A$1,580 and reaching A$4,385 for the AE320² in all finishes. Available in the UK from February, the lineup will also be available in Australia through authorised Acoustic Energy dealers.
