Acoustic Energy Pulls the Covers Off Corinium in Midnight Silver

Acoustic Energy has pulled the covers off a new premium cabinet finish for its flagship Corinium loudspeaker, introducing Midnight Silver as a fresh option for 2026.

When Corinium first arrived in 2023, it marked a quietly confident statement from one of Britain’s most established loudspeaker manufacturers. Designed and engineered in the UK, the model blended Acoustic Energy’s long-standing acoustic sensibilities with a more contemporary sense of scale and presence, quickly earning critical praise and a StereoNET Applause Award along the way.
The new Midnight Silver finish builds on the unexpected success of British Racing Green (BRG), a colour initially conceived as a limited edition but rapidly embraced by buyers worldwide. Rather than retreating from that success, Acoustic Energy has doubled down, keeping BRG in the lineup while adding Midnight Silver as a more modern, understated counterpart. The intent is clear: to offer finishes that feel at home alongside high-end furniture and luxury vehicles as they do in dedicated listening rooms.

Importantly, nothing about the loudspeaker itself has changed. The Corinium’s sonic character remains intact, something StereoNET's David Price was keen to highlight in his assessment. He praised the speaker’s ability to deliver scale and authority without tipping into aggression, noting a sense of composure and balance that encouraged long, immersive listening sessions rather than quick-fire demonstrations.
Acoustic Energy positions both premium finishes as subtle nods to Britain’s performance-car heritage, where engineering discipline and restrained design tend to outlast passing fashion. In that context, Midnight Silver feels less like a cosmetic refresh and more like the next logical colourway in a carefully curated range.

Acoustic Energy Managing Director Mat Spandl said the new finish builds directly on the Corinium’s original design brief:
The Corinium has always been about combining exceptional performance with timeless design. Midnight Silver takes this philosophy even further, offering a finish that’s both elegant and modern. It’s a response to customers who want loudspeakers that not only sound exceptional but also make a confident visual statement in their living spaces.

The Acoustic Energy Corinium in Midnight Silver is available now through authorised retailers, with UK pricing set at £7,000 per pair. Regional availability is expected to follow.
