The new 55-inch Beovision Contour OLED TV has been announced and will sit alongside the existing 48-inch model.

Based on the latest LG panel technology, the latest luxury telly comes complete with a sound system based on the Danish company's Beosound Stage soundbar. It features eleven drivers and amplifiers that together promise to provide a three-channel experience with Dolby Atmos support.

Amongst those eleven drivers sit four 4-inch custom-made bass drivers with enclosures that we're told allows the cones to move further, with the claimed result being improved bass performance down to a more than respectable 30Hz.

Naturally, all of this is achieved within an aesthetically pleasing unit based around an aluminium frame that's available in Silver, Black Anthracite, or Gold Tone finishes. Even the Beoremote One is crafted from a single piece of aluminium. There is also a choice of wood veneer or fabric for the speaker grille.

Furthermore, there are three mounting options available: the rotating aluminium floorstand that allows 180-degree rotation, Bang & Olufsen's wall bracket that can be angled for perfect viewing, and a tabletop stand made from a solid, rectangular aluminium billet that allows the TV to be placed on a shelf.

The 55-inch Beovision Contour is available now at £6,300/ €7000 or £7,100/ €8200 if you fancy the wood veneer option.
