Classifieds: Trade Ads now welcome!

In a view to making our classifieds more inclusive and to offer a wider variety of products available to the community, while better supporting the industry in which we are part of, we have decided to loosen the restrictions around "commercial" members. Differing from our paid sponsors, which are tagged with an offical "Commercial" on all of their ads, those that work within the industry as either retailers, installers, distributors etc, can now also use our Classifieds. They will still be subject to the same Seller's Fees as every one else (Sponsors are not subject to Seller's Fees as that is included in their sponsorship fees).

Those with commercial interests need to declare such within the advertisement, and whether the product being offered is "ex-demo", "trade-in" or similar. The Classifieds should not be used by those with commercial interests to sell brand new and current model products.

The Classifieds Guidelines have been updated to reflect this change.

It was always apparent to me that the Classifieds were already being used by some with commercial interests anyway that were  not necessarily being upfront about their interests. By allowing this, there is no longer any reason to hide their commercial interests.
