DizzyD1624705734 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Geek team are too full of themselves over the success of the kick starting campaign. The early backers are getting less cutting edge stuff as they start to launch more products with advanced specs. I have written off my pulse and that music server for now and will treat like a bonus if it ends on my door step. I beg and beg for my geek out and was damn frustrated over the entire logistics which they said was managed by only Hanny Manny (the cartoon guy haha)
gadenp Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Last time I needed a secondary DAC, so the Geek Pulse would have been great. Now I want a new primary DAC, the Geek Pulse is like WTF useless now :D.
Spectre84 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Actually is there any news on our MO order? How are they going to ship our whole lot with all the different permutations? Was there any survey that the MO organisers filled?
gadenp Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Any Geek Pulse X or X-fi MO-er want to trade down their Geek Pulse X/Xfi for a Geek Pulse?
dXter Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Interesting to note GO100 and 720 seems to be the more popular choices.
Guest durianlover88 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Have received the GO1000 Signature after back from USA. Haben got chance to listen yet. Will post impression later... There is only 32 units worldwide. 16 retained for use by LH Labs staff. 16 units sold to customers. My serial lumber is #13.
alvin1118 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 The follow up Geek Pulse campaign is up! Surprise to see many contributors despite the price went up by so many hundreds percent compared to the first campaign! http://lhlabs.com/geekpulse3/

(I am thinking of getting the Geek Soul)
gadenp Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 The way they are pricing, and the continual price increase, I am freaking scared that the Geek Soul will be ridiculously high.
gadenp Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 So on the line, tempted but scared of LHL but tempted but how much.... But the way they hype like will be great but scared :D
Spectre84 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 It seems they've merged the previous campaign with this new forever funding thing: http://igg.me/at/geekpulseaudio/x/7901734 Any idea how we can see the details of the previous campaign and compare prices and all the perks? It seems the prices have gone up quite a bit huh.. thought the base pulse was something like 299, and the maxed out one 600+, nor more than 700 right? Either the earlier backers got a really genuinely good deal, or they're going to be laughing their way to the bank.... either that or the retail pulse will be a huge flop. Which do you think??
Spectre84 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Anyone here had a listen at the RMAF Canjam thing in America? Bro Audio, did you manage to get a listen to any of the Lhlabs products while you were there?

gadenp Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 No wonder they can do that 120% trade back program for Geek Soul. They earn no matter what :D Also freak should have gotten the Geek Xfi back when.
dXter Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Ya, for 1k USD down (xfi + LPS), u can a 4k USD dac... Not sure how many they can sell at MSRP if any at all. It has to really perform as good as its competitors at that price point.
gadenp Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Guys, Should I try my luck on the Geek Pulse Xfi early bird @ USD 1400 + USD 150(shipment) = SGD$2015 or just get a Sound Affairs Signature Mod on LKS Model IV Dual ESS 9018 Sabre chip DAC @ $1999 - http://www.xtremeplace.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=184406.0 To my untrained tech eyes, they are the same concept at near the same price but the LKS components look bigger. But the LKS does not have a headphone amp. What says the more experienced people?
snip3r Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 If you get lks they ship immediately? For geek pulse I think they ship q1 2015.
gadenp Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 If you get lks they ship immediately? For geek pulse I think they ship q1 2015. Yupe got stock in Singapore.

Spectre84 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Are your sure shipment will be so much? Thought they only charged like 40usd or so during the campaign?
gadenp Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Shipment is my guesstimate from the fedax website.
