What is the ideal height for mounting Plasma TV on wall ?...Should the eye level be in line with the centre of the screen or should it be in line with the bottom of the screen ??

Thanks !

taking into account how you mount the centre speaker too i.e. prefably with plasma above the centre and that may dictate the height to a certain extent.

It'll be quite low if centre of screen is eye-level. When seated on a sofa, the eye-level will be about 1 meter high.

Maybe eye-level based on near bottom of screen? If screen is too low, it might be a bit uncomfortable to watch.

My 2 cts.

The centre speaker is not a problem , I can adjust n tilt the centre speaker accordingly . This plasma is mounted in the bedroom wall facing the bed, if it is eye level, it is quite low !

Read somewhere that the mounting position should be the 1/3 height of the Plasma screen at eye level. This will keep your head looking up slightly. ;)

for easy viewing, center of plama screen or your pc monitor should be aligned with your eye level. this induces lesser fatigue to eyes for long hrs usage. some tend to bring it slightly lower than that. why? more strenuous to eyes to keep in viewing straight or upwards, much less tiring when viewing slightly below eye level. too low will then be too uncomfortable (might as well sleep ;D)

according to thread pointed by lewlian, 33"-35" above ground is typical table or tv console height (notice that certain tv consoles are lower than typical table heights also?) ... this will translate to almost center of screen to eye level.
