A few of the recent editions. The three Aussie ones are going in the 'retirement collection' (yes, I have another of the 'Peated Malt' bottles).

Why do I have this collection? Because I'm not sure how much spare cash I'll have to buy expensive whiskies (after I retire). So buying them now seems to be a sensible thing to do.

How good is Ralfy! I learnt so much from him early in my Whisky journey. 
Richard Paterson was probably my first YouTube experience, which was pretty entertaining, and got me excited to learn more, but Ralfy was the one who opened my eyes. I’ve got a lot to thank him for. My bank balance probably thinks otherwise, haha.

There's an advantage to doing a couple of markets a month...it's called "staff discount"!

 

Doesn't work for Jimmy Rum, that's just long acquaintance discount. And the others are birthday or Xmas presents. Plenty of other open bottles to keep the whistle whetted, but I'm fairly champing at the bit to get into the retiring bit (except, possibly for the one with the clear cap - that was bought before they opened and is from the first batch).

Just a reminder that excise is being raised on alcohol as of next Tuesday. I've got a couple of bottles being prepared for me (as they're not released yet) so I can save a bit on the purchase price. And I get a couple of one-off bottles at the same time!

Got a bottle of this - fantastic stuff, if you like the 10, Uigeadail or Lagavulin 16 or other notable islay malts  you will like this - lots of character as to be expected from an Ardbeg.. good value, up there in my favourites to be sure;
