Just checking out OO.com.au and came across these. Not sure what these speakers are like compare with other brands. But ive done some quick research and those prices arent too bad for those speakers. BTW free delivery.

Sure someone out there has these speakers? Surely Jamo hasn't fell off the map too badly... Could I even try to compare the Jamo C 805's to the Paradigm Monitor 9's? They are roughly the same price, but not sure on quality.

I have the 803s and the centre. I absolutely love them and they sound bigger than they are. Thanks for the link. I'll now decide to go some more 803s or step up to the 805s.

Cheers.

Jamo's are fantastic, IMHO...I've had my Prestige's for over 12 years and they haven't failed me.

They are no longer made in denmark though, and the new Concert's --- all made in china.

The ones you called out have been on the site for a while now (over a month). I've been eyeing them off as an upgrade.

My only concern is that they are 2nds, or refurbished - reason being, you can't choose the colour --- notice the centres are apple only? If they had a line to a supplier, you would expect them to be able to sell you black / apple....but in this case you can't. Also, they're selling a C8CEN right only...that one is certainly dodgy.

HN quoted me $1900 for the 805's, best they could do..so 1600 is a steal. but it comes with the above risk.

I was thinking about getting the C805 for fronts and C803's as side surrounds (forget the C8CEN dipoles, dunno why they even manufacture them).

The 803's might be overkill for the sides? Wouldn't mind the advice on that...

Was going to power them with an Onkyo 805, if i can find one...or a 705 if they're still floating around...wonder if the 705 has enough grunt to run them well?

I only spotted the oo.com website the other day and than found this thread. I have also had my eye on the concert series mainly beacause our local Richart store was

giving me a great discount but nothing like the prices on this website. I am not sure if the speakers are reconditioned but when I asked them if they had any C807's or C809's they gave me this reply

Hi

Please see the following link for our current range of Jamo speakers:

http://www.oo.com.au/Jamo-Speakers_C1022.cfm

As we are an overstock outlet, our product listing is dependant on what our suppliers have available for us at any given time. So it is possible that we may have more stock at some stage in the future although we cannot guarantee this and as a result would not like to take payment for it in advance.

If none of these items are suitable, please come back and check our website regularly and add yourself to our weekly newsletter which will keep you up to date on our special offers.

Kind Regards

Arlene

overstock outlet? hrm.

Check out the following reviews..

http://www.productreview.com.au/showshop.p...EWS&next=11

Cons: Products are not brand new. I purchased a Polar F4 heart rate monitor and it contained old data from previous use and the manual was clearly used.

Other comments from users who bought 2 items - one of which was packaged, the other was not...extremely dodgy.

"overstock" could ex-demo, reconditioned, repaired...or just unsellable.

I dunno - these jamo speakers are not cheap, so I'm worried about forking out cash on what seems like a deal thats "too good to be true"!

Sounds a bit sus, a phone call to the distributer http://www.qualifi.com.au/ may clear a few things up for anyone seriously thinking about buying from them.

I rang Qualifi over the new year break and they said that unless it was imported by them directly (and they have a list of all Serial numbers) the local warranty would not apply.

Having said all that, I've pulled the trigger on a pair of C805's and C803's last week from the site, because:

1. I got some quotes for these models back in September...then again last week.

The C805's are now retailing @ $3599. The C803's are now $1999.

2. The warranty through oo.com.au is for 2 years. Even if theres something wrong with them, worst case I'll get my money back.

They're being freighted down right now so I'll report back on quality etc when I get them - Hopefully before the weekend.

I have the C80 center with D590 Fronts and after hearing the C80 I'm a little disappointed I didn't go for the C809 as they do sound crisper. Saying that i wouldn't have considered paying the price of them until after having some good listening time with my D590s and realising what I have been missing out on with my old accusound 5.1 setup.

I was quoted (RRP) for the C809's $5500 / pair. I heard them at HN in Chadstone (VIC) - I went back to listen to them again, but they were sold some time around christmas.

Well and truely out of my price range though.

Where did you buy the C80 CEN? If you don't mind can you PM me with the price, as I need to get one and its going to cost a bit.

Need Speaker stands for the C803's - don't suppose anyone out there can suggest where I can pick some up that would suit this type of speaker?

The C803's have been received from oo.com.au in new condition, immaculate. Very happy with them, although I think a little overkill for side-surround duties. they'll last me 15-20 years though, so I'm not complaining. Still need stands for them. I might use my old floorstanders for now, but need to definately find a more permanent solution!

The oo.com.au website has been updated for both C803 and C805 as "out of stock" - so I guess I've picked up the last ones.
