#Darren Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I just got my 40gb PS3 and took it out of the box. I noticed that there was a slight rattle when moving it around, so I gently tipped it upside down, and sure enough there was the slight rattle again, like a small loose item moving within the case. Is this normal for the PS3? Could something have come loose inside?
Guest Danny Boy Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 That's not normal at all. It could be harmless but you should take it back to the store you bought it from for a new one. Meanwhile someone working at Foxconn in Taiwan is still looking for their lost ring.
bennobee Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Yup mine doesnt have a rattle either. Who knows what it is but I am sure it cant be good once those fans start going and it hits one of them.
#Darren Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 Thanks for the replies guys. Do you get ANY sort of internal noise if doing what I described? Or is it rock solid?
bennobee Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Nada noise inside when i move it around. It should not make any noise at all. No chance to take it back ?
