NotYetNoob Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Hi, Have a WINFAST DVT2000 H card. Working great since I got an outside aerial. I can't seem to get the EPG guide to work on the bundled software. It doesn't load any data. I also have tried using Nero Home and that finds a TV Guide using the card but also has no luck creating an XML file guide. Edit: yes i am on the internet Any idea's? Cheers

Not sure what this means. Is it that there aren't any EPG being broadcast? Wouldnt the ABC guide come up or is it in an incompatible format? I also can't get Subtitles to work, even when my SD STB can on SD channels, my DTV2000H cannot on the same SD channel/frequency. Am using PVR2 2.0.2.11 with 4.0.112.3219 drivers
tw1965 Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 1. "DVB EPG (Electronic Program Guide Information)" is not the "DVB Subtitle". 2. "DVB Subtitle (ETSI EN 300 743)" is not the "Subtitle in the DVB Teletext (ETSI EN 300 472)" 3. DVB "Now and Next" is not the DVB EPG. Although both the "Now and Next" and "Electronic Program Guide Information" use the Event Information Table (EIT) of Service Information (SI). Please read the threads in this forum "Electronic Program Guide Information" : http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showforum=70 DVB Subtitle (ETSI EN 300 743) : http://webapp.etsi.org/action/OP/OP2002100...743v010201o.pdfDVB Teletext (ETSI EN 300 472) : http://webapp.etsi.org/action/OP/OP2003052...472v010301o.pdf Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) Specification for Service Information (SI) in DVB systems : http://webapp.etsi.org/action/OP/OP2006042...468v010701o.pdf

ajm1503559545 Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Basically, what tw1965 is saying is that there is no "official" EPG in Australia so the software that comes with the card will not give you an EPG. There are, alternatively, some options using 3rd party apps such as Webscheduler. You can also subscribe to the pay service IceTV and see if that can be integrated into whatever application you're using. I'd do a bit of research by googling "EPG Australia" and see what you find.
