You are definitely right there. It was because you hadn't made a post since the change and you were still classified a "New Member". Now you have made this post, you will be a Member and this will work for you.

I remained a New Member for a couple of days and found that I could not access profiles etc. while I was logged in, but had this facility available to me as a guest! Found that weird.

Once I made my first post after the change all was OK.

It's funny seeing digitaladvisor classed as a new member when he has 3551 posts!

Me too, no posts of late, got most of the now mostly out of date gear working right so I am using it instead of writing about it.
