Moderating Style!

Unfortunately, IPB isn't a transactional moderating system. This means when we clip posts, delete posts or edit them - there is no longer any record of what was written previously. Some may feel this is a form of censorship, but is really a limitation to what we can do with the software.

I run a long leash - people have their opinions and their rights to those. But if I see something that could cause more problems than benefits, the post will get removed. If the thread has completely lost the plot, the thread may be removed.

I don't delete much, but if it is deleted - please respect my decision on it. The easiest thing to do, would be to remove the off-topic subforum completely to avoid many issues it provides. And then to ban people who try and post it elsewhere.

I would prefer not to do that, and I think at large, 98% of the community here has embraced the concept behind that subforum.
