Happy New Year from DBA

Featured Replies

From the team at DBA to all DBA Early Adopter Club members and forum contributors - Happy New Year.

2004 will be an interesting year for digital TV - so stay tuned and keep up to date with developments on the DBA website.

If you would like the DBA digital TV newsletter emailed to you every two months, register to join the DBA Early Adopters Club - www.dba.org.au/register.asp

Thanks for putting up with us! But we may run amok in this new year with all the new Digital things and toys we may experience soon.

Hmmm may have to call a new forum area just for Datacasting if it gets too popular this year (we hope)... Maybe we will be raving about the new Toshiba HD MKII, Twin Tuner PVR STB; Celebrating the 20,000th member to DBA and DBA giving a new STB of some type to this new member; members reading over 300 new posts a day (oh no!); Production of DBA stickers to put on our cars; Baseball bat meetings for those stations and suppliers and resellers who don't do the right thing by us...

Phew, it's going to be a big year in Digital!

And maybe a new forum skin if I ever get round to finishing it. Maybe in the next few days.

2004 - The Digital Year (This line is also added to my avater and signature)

I agree with everything I and others had said!

I just thought of something. Maybe DBA could do a advertising campaign that has the expected new features of Digital TV. Of course, if they use my '2004 - The Digital Year' slogan, I would want to be involved in doing this advertising campaign (eg. I could design something as I am a graphic designer).

i noticed, your avatar looks very nice

Gentlemen don't look at each other's Avatars, do they?

Hopefully we will start getting some 5.1 in our new year!, I am pretty happy with the amount of new HD coming out as long as it keeps going.

I have noticed some of the new programs coming out for the new ratings season are still only 4:3

Like "Friends" by the looks of the ads for it... I can understand if the proggy has been made a couple of years ago, but we aren't that far behind the US with Friends.

And of course I just spent the last 10mins trying to find a "Friends" website of some description to double check that it is actually produced as widescreen and I can't find squat.
