Item: Magnepan MMG Location: Clayton, VIC Price: SOLD Item Condition: Very good. Reason for selling: My Dyns are really finding their feet and the MMGs aren't getting used much. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, bank deposit Details: I bought these wonderful speakers off vmhf last year to try something new, and they have been somewhat of a revelation. The sound of panel speakers is unlike anything I've heard from conventional box speakers before. The best way to describe it would be to say that things "just sound real". Voices sound like voices. Strings sound like strings. Transients are dealt with effortlessly and with seemingly no delay. Bass response is compromised if you're used to floorstanders, but what you do get is incredibly agile and full of tone. They do like a powerful amplifier driving them; so keep that in mind. The MMGs are available in Australia for $1099 before shipping, so this is a great opportunity to try a pair in fantastic condition at a good discount.
