  1. but http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&q=budget+multichannel+amplifier&spell=1 did :-) anyway any bass processing will need a DSP
  2. it really depends on the amp design. I believe my exposure draw very little power when idle. It might not be the case for a massive class A. Anyway, how to define how little is little ha ?
  3. a sony boombox is perfect for diana krall and why the hell did she choose Paris to record her live ? there should be a law against this.
  4. I would avoid the Quad with this setup. I had the opportunity to try them at home and boring would be the best one word description.
  5. wow, Bono, could you confirm this incredibly low price ? That would be incredible really as this player retails for 600pounds in uk & 1000euros in france... sound strange to me :o
  6. I might add the Exposure 2010 in your shopping list. And if you love its sound, you could eventually be interested by my offer ;)
  7. I bet KEC demo-ed Exposure with Mission speakers. Then of course it is terrible.
  8. "Exposure" and "lack of punch" in the same sentence in kinf of funny. Anyway I don't think it is a good idea to go to KEC to listen to this kind of amp.
  9. honestly, this looks ugly - like a pathetic try to come out with a design :-)
  10. At that price point, I can only seen the Classic or else some Denon mini but that not the same league. Onkyo has a neat all-in-one unit with CD/MD/tuner/amp but again bear in mind that's not hifi. Then again that's mabye all she ever wants. The denon - http://www.hifistore.co.uk/product.php?qsProd=201SYS&S=36ed57eea428850836dd2b0aa5443906 The onkyo - http://www.hifiplus.com/t-rev11-1.html
  11. thanks for the info :-)
  12. I'm looking for speakers for my bedroom and I'd like to know where I could try the above in a friendly environment. I'll bring down my electronics & cables (exposure 2010 serie). Recently I've been quite impressed by the Linn Katan but maybe I could find cheap & better alternative... any other speakers I should check out beside the Dynaudio 42 (and Epos 12) ? thanks
  13. If you want to get rid of your epos at one point, IM me: I am interested ;D
  14. double exposure owner now ;D
  15. Need to see the real thing... if as chio as the 2010 can consider ;)
  16. New classic series: http://exposurehifi.com/ and forum is up too :D
  17. Diana sucks big time anyway. ;D
  18. huh ? if as u say the Hf is faster to reach ur ear, why the hell would u want to make it come even faster with a shorter cable ? to me sound like you just dephasing signals.. :-\
  19. I am surprise nobody mention el chipo marantz cdp yet. ;D
  20. Choose it on the tray, then get a Rotel Choose it on the look as I did myself, then definitly get an Exposure! ;D
  21. dunno why so many people are crasy about the marantz cdp if you need to change the inside to have it to sound good :P . I auditioned the 17mkII and found personnaly it sucks big time. lifeless vocals and everything damn slow. not suitable for jazz or classical, imo, so forget about rock& techno punchy stuffs. I dunt say anything about other models mentioned as the ratio sound for price might be totaly different.
  22. It all depends on how much you want to invest. 8) *If* you are thinking to get a Mk17 at one point, you might want to check the competition to findout if you like slow sound best ;D
  23. Agreed. they sound warm and slooow.
  24. You didn't mention what stand you are using. I found a huge difference in bass control when I got a pair of heavy duty stand for my diamond 8.2 instead of the original Wharfedale one.
