Hi all, I’m wondering if someone may be able to help with whether I should get the preamp with the Spring 3 or not. My integrated amplifier is the Perreaux Eloquence 250i. Would the preamp module in the Spring 3 be better than that in my amp? If so should I get the preamp and just use the Perreaux as a pure power amp? Thanks I’m advance for any advice given.

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like the Monitor Audio also are very low impedance (3.4ohm). The sanders looks interesting I’ve never heard of them. It is a powerhouse of an amp by the looks of it!

Thanks for the power amp suggestion. I’m actually considering selling them too. Years ago I had a pair of Monitor Audio speakers that I really enjoyed the sound of a lot so I’m considering looking at the gold 5G series. I thought the M6Si would be able to control them well but it just doesn’t unless it’s just the nature of the focal speaker and the way they sound.

Hi all, I would be really grateful for some advice on a new amplifier. Current setup is: Musician Audio Pegasus R2R DAC, Musical fidelity M6Si and Focal Electra 1038BE. I feel like the Musical Fidelity is too laid back and doesn’t have great control over the speakers and lacks in prat and control (especially when volume is louder or music is fast and dynamic), also would like something more resolving/detailed/higher resolution. I have a budget of $4000aud and would prefer to buy used to get a better unit than buying new. Thanks in advance.
